Aging
What is it and how can we reduce its effects?
Aging , or senescence, is a physiological process that no one can escape for now.
Several research groups, both public and private, are having promising results, but with gene therapies, the risks of which in humans are still unknown and the cost is prohibitive.
The cells in our body undergo a continuous recycling process, where damaged cells are replaced by healthy ones.

However, due to cellular senescence, changes caused by oxidative stress , DNA damage, or a decline in our immune system , these senescent cells tend to become fibrotic, evading cell death or apoptosis. This generates non-functional, pro-inflammatory tissues that, over time, promote the fibrotic development of neighboring cells as well.
Depending on the tissue where it occurs, it can cause more or less damage, but even in the skin the effects of this fibrosis are noticeable, resulting in drier, less elastic skin, with unmistakable signs of aging.
So, what can we do to stop this process?
- Practice moderate exercise.
- Reduce stress and improve sleep quality.
- Eat a balanced diet, with fresh products.
- Consume antioxidants to alleviate oxidative stress and protect our DNA.
- Provide quality OMEGA 3 fatty acids to reduce inflammation
Discover Ultra Mega Marine Max to boost your Omega 3 levels and help slow the signs of aging.
